A one page PDF forces you to cut everything that made the work interesting. This is the uncut version what I built, who I built it with, the competitions that pushed me, and the detours that turned out to matter more than the straight lines.

Experience

Product Manager & UX/UI Designer

Freelance — Cappi, VIDA Peptides, Tekitl

Dec 2025 — Present

I run UX/UI end to end for web platforms and mobile apps: user research, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes and design systems in Figma. Every project means a new industry and a new problem to untangle, which is exactly why I like it.

  • Designed the traveler facing mobile app and the commercial-partner web platform for CAPPI Concierge.
  • Build design systems with reusable components and visual identity, keeping the interface consistent across platforms.
  • Run user research, benchmarking and needs validation, documenting findings, user flows and IA in FigJam, Miro and Mermaid.
  • Work in one to two week sprints with defined goals and documentation 90% of deliveries on time and without incidents.

Working with several clients at once turned me into an obsessive note-taker. It's also the reason TimeDesk exists, I got tired of not knowing where my hours were going.

Product Manager

WiseKapital

Jun 2025 — Dec 2025

My first professional design role. I led the UX/UI of XIVIO's landing page the company's new strategic product defining structure, content and user experience, and acting as the bridge between stakeholders and the development team.

  • Led the UX/UI design of the XIVIO landing page, from structure and content to the shipped experience.
  • Translated business requirements into clear specifications for implementation.
  • Implemented Google Analytics, setting up the company's first process for measuring user behavior to back design decisions.

Everything here happened in English my second language. Presenting design decisions and taking feedback in another language was harder than any interface I designed that year.

The 2025 hackathon run

One project, four stages, and roughly one year. Cinco Octavos started as a local entry and ended up on a national podium.

May 2025

HackaTec — Local stage

Instituto Tecnológico de Cancún

Where it started. Our team, Cinco Octavos, entered the Economía challenge with a concept for helping Mexican micro-businesses go digital. We qualified.

Qualified for regionals

Sept — Oct 2025

HackaTec — Regional stage, Región 7

Comitán de Domínguez, Chiapas

Four days competing against every tech institute in the region. The project grew from an idea into a defensible product with research behind it.

🥇 1st place

Nov 2025

HackaTec — National stage

Pachuca de Soto, Hidalgo

42 hours, a national final, and very little sleep. We built a mobile app to push the digitalization of Mexican MIPYMEs and defended it in front of a national jury.

🥈 2nd place nationally

Dec 2025

Hackatón Come Datos

Chetumal — Gobierno de Quintana Roo

A different kind of challenge: open government data. Our team built Kaan, a citizen transparency platform, and presented it at the final exhibition in Chetumal.

Selected finalist

On the other side of the table

I'm just as interested in helping other people build as I am in competing myself.

Tucanthon

A student hackathon built around creativity and learning instead of winning. I help shape the challenge, write the rules, keep the schedule honest and stay on the floor with the teams while they build. Running one turned out to be far harder than competing in one and it taught me more about facilitation than any class did.

Koder Garden

A student community where people can build real projects and grow together instead of learning alone. I'm part of the group bringing it back to life: rethinking how members join, what they build first, and how a beginner goes from lurking to shipping something with other people.

Designed & built

Koder Garden Bot

The community had the same problem every community has: plenty of people who want to build something, and almost nobody who starts. Everyone waits for the perfect idea, the perfect team, the perfect moment. So I designed a Discord bot that removes all three excuses at once.

  • 5people per team, picked at random
  • 1month from brief to something real
  • 0ideas you need to bring with you
  1. 01Sign up

Any member of the server can opt in as a participant. No portfolio, no interview, no waiting for the next cohort.

  2. 02Get an activity

The bot hands out the activity, so nobody has to invent a brief or defend an idea before they are allowed to start.

  3. 03Meet your five

It pairs you with four other participants picked at random, which mixes experience levels on purpose instead of letting friends group up.

  4. 04One month to build

The team has a month to take it from nothing to something they can show. Short enough to stay urgent, long enough to finish.

It's a tiny bot, but it's really a piece of product design: the interesting part was not the code, it was deciding what the bot decides for you.

  • Discord
  • Team matchmaking
  • One-month sprints

Beyond the resume

Two things that never fit on one page, but probably explain more about how I work than the bullet points do.

Around age twelve

My first mockup was in Photoshop

I didn't know the word 'wireframe' yet. I just wanted the website in my head to exist somewhere outside of it, so I opened the only tool I had and started drawing rectangles. Everything I do now is a more informed version of that afternoon.

1 Simple Game · Digital marketing

I helped a Mexican indie game reach its Kickstarter

Before design I studied Marketing, and my work at 1 Simple Idea was exactly that: I ran small Instagram campaigns for I'm Not Jelly, the action roguelike their studio was building, and helped on the Kickstarter meant to fund its release. They gave me a developer build and I got to play it ambitious, colorful, genuinely fun. It still hasn't shipped. I've kept my copy, and I'm still hoping to see it out one day so I can support the colleagues who gave me that chance.
